At Synco Media, video and photography equipment may be present. This includes the filming/ photography of events presentations, interviews with partners and delegates and highlights footage. Prior consent will be required for events presentations and interview footage to be shared. When contributors give informed consent to take part in our output, they can be assumed to have waived their expectations of privacy in relation to their contribution, subject to any agreed conditions placed on their participation. Signage will be used to notify delegates that filming, and photography will be taking place.
For events highlights footage we do not normally obtain express consent from individuals who are incidentally caught on camera as part of the general scene, however we will not purposefully film any footage that makes an individual identifiable, beyond the aforementioned activities that already require consent.
Signage will also indicate that photography will be taking place at our events. We do not obtain prior consent for general photography at our events. However, if an individual or organisation asks us to not to include them in the shot, due to a concern about privacy, we should normally do so, unless it is editorially justified to continue.
Footage may be used to promote our future events and used in marketing campaigns on the Synco Media website, emails and social media.
Although prior consent will be required for events presentations and interviews, individuals and organisations have the right to withdraw consent after footage has been processed. Synco Media will discontinue use of the footage, unless there is a legitimate business interest, in which case the footage can be used without consent.
